We believe that between 5% and 10% further cost savings can be won through making users aware of how to print more effectively and use the facilities available to them. There is no need for any new hardware or software.
"The cheapest page is the one you don't print"
Solution tuning comprises of two elements; the Environmental review and Best practice workshops. Each module may be conducted independently and is designed for any organisation of any size irrespective of whether they have optimised their fleet or not.
When we buy printers and multi-functional devices we usually get some sort of operator training bundled with the price but this is often what is known as "key op" training and focusses on the operation of the hardware itself. Little, if any, attention is given to how to use the equipment more efficiently and in doing so, actually use less paper, less toner and save even more money. It's not surprising really as it is not in the vendor's interest to have you print less and use fewer consumables and that is why we have launched "Solution tuning".
The Best Practice workshops are run on your site, for up to 20 users at a time and each workshop lasts approximately 2 hours. Before that however, we visit you at your site to understand more about your printing environment and customise parts of the workshops accordingly, to make it entirely relevant to the participants.
Topics covered include:-
At the end of each workshop, delegates will be equipped to start making you more savings straight away and what's more, we will provide you with posters which you can put up near to printers and MFD's to help drive home the message.
This is a low cost module which really can reduce your costs immediately.
The Environmental review is designed to reduce the environmental impact of printing and the purpose is to recommend ways in which the use of paper, power, toner and other consumables can be reduced plus we also look at potential Ozone hot-spots where build-ups can occur at at levels with can be harmful. Typically this activity takes 3 days on-site and a further 2 days to write-up the results.
